Unifying our message for pro-business, pro-growth, pro-jobs climate

The Lubbock Chamber proactively listens to our membership, stays informed about important topics and regularly communicates with decision makers, putting us in the perfect position to influence policies that affect local businesses and our community. We partner with other organizations, local businesses, and policymakers to accomplish our shared mission of ensuring that Lubbock maintains its strong pro-business climate.

Policy Committees

Infrastructure is a key to driving local economies, and this committee covers issues related to transit and transportation needs throughout Lubbock and was created to promote the safe and efficient movement of people and goods across our community.

This committee is engaged on a variety of issues that impact area businesses, from health care and education to taxes and trade.

Lubbock Chamber Political Action Committee (Chamber PAC)

The Lubbock Chamber PAC was founded to give our membership a voice with which they can actively support or oppose issues that are important in fostering a thriving local economy. The nonpartisan PAC focuses on local and state policies.

Funds for this PAC are raised through voluntary contributions from Chamber members. Information contributing to the PAC is provided during the annual membership renewal period.

The Chamber PAC is registered with the Texas Ethics Commission and is thoughtfully guided by the Lubbock Chamber Board of Directors and an advisory board of business leaders.

Champions for Business Political Action Committee (CBPAC)

The Champions for Business PAC is a nonpartisan political action committee that endorses and supports candidates who represent the pro-business, pro-jobs pro-growth ideals of the Lubbock business community. The CBPAC is governed by a board which funds the PAC’s activity through voluntary member contributions. It is important to note that this board thoughtfully interviews candidates who have filed to run for office prior to determining its endorsements.

2023 Legislative Priorities

With every session, there are opportunities to educate lawmakers about the positive steps job creators are taking to strengthen the Lubbock economy. The 2023 Legislative Priorities guide was created with input from the Government, Agriculture and Transportation committees.
